With the Employment Non-Discrimination Act moving through Congress and the profile of LGBT businesses steadily growing, Echelon magazine is hosting its Pride in Business Expo to shine an even brighter light on the LGBT business community.
Echelon will host more than 70 corporate recruiters, franchise professionals and LGBT small business owners during its Expo June 5-6, 2010, at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, Calif.
The Expo will feature three subject-specific pavilions for guests: the franchise pavilion, where those interested in owning a franchise can meet with gay-friendly franchisors to learn the ropes; the career pavilion, where job-seekers can connect with human resource professionals from Fortune 500 companies; and the small business pavilion, where small business owners will have an opportunity to expand their businesses, connect with other LGBT business owners, and learn about financing, technology, accounting and legal services.
During the Expo, sponsors and exhibitors will be reaching out to the LGBT business community to demonstrate their commitment to LGBT equality in the workplace.
All proceeds from Expo ticket sales will go to the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center, which has offered services, support and advocacy to LGBT individuals since 1971. Tickets for the Expo are just $5.
To register for the event, purchase a ticket online.
