On Jan. 10, 2011, the NGLCC will host its third annual Diversity and Leadership in Financial Services Awards event at the New York Stock Exchange, where leaders and diversity advocates in the financial services sector will be recognized for their efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in their industry.

This year marks an important addition to the annual event. The NGLCC has invited business advocacy organizations representing other diverse segments to become collaborating partners for this year's event, including the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the US Business Leadership Network (USBLN) and the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC). The National Black Chamber of Commerce has also been invited to be a collaborating partner. This will be the first-ever cross diversity segment event in the financial services sector.

"This year we're proud to be collaborating with these outstanding organizations for our Diversity and Leadership in Financial Services Awards," said Justin Nelson, president and co-founder of the NGLCC. "These partners in diversity and inclusion represent the many different faces of diversity in the business community, and we're thrilled that they will be teaming up with us to recognize the leaders in the financial services industry."

This year's event will include a diversity roundtable discussion among corporations and the collaborating organizations in the afternoon. The group will then ring the Closing Bell and at 6:00 PM there will be a reception on the Trading Floor of the NYSE, with the awards dinner to follow.
