The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce® (NGLCC) is organizing its first South American Business and Cultural Exchange to Argentina this summer.

The Exchange, scheduled for July 20-27, is designed to open doors for international collaboration and business development opportunities with one of the top U.S. trading partners in South America.

The United States is Argentina's second largest trading partner, with nearly $10 billion in trade between the two countries in 2009, and more than $13 billion in 2008.

Participation in the Exchange is open to U.S. LGBT and allied business owners and professionals. Exchange participants will spend four days in Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital, and two days in Mendoza.

While in Buenos Aires, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in high-level meetings with distributors and end-users for the purpose of exporting goods and services. Attendees will also meet with key industry contacts and political leaders, who will advise business owners and professionals on market opportunities in Buenos Aires and throughout Argentina.

Attendees will also participate in the GNetwork360/Argentina Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (AGLCC) Forum on LGBT Entrepreneurship and South America.

"There is much we can learn from our friends in the United States, and we look forward to you and your members' participation in this conference," wrote AGLCC co-founders, Pablo De Luca and Gustavo Noguera, in a letter to the NGLCC leadership.

In addition, participants will take advantage of cultural activities and other events designed to connect American and Argentinean business leaders. While in Mendoza-Argentina's wine country and a burgeoning destination for LGBT travel-the NGLCC will co-host an educational seminar designed to share best practices and case studies about LGBT travel, meetings and international trade opportunities.
