Phil Giorgianni joined the NGLCC in September 2010 as the Certification Specialist.  Phil assists LGBT owned businesses navigate the process of becoming officially certified as a GLBT Business Enterprise and deepens the engagement between the Chamber and its existing membership.

Phil began his career at the Mortgage Bankers Association where he developed innovative ways for member companies to participate in tradeshows and events through branded sponsorships.  He cultivated relationships with leaders throughout the real estate finance industry including mortgage lenders, the FHA, law firms and technology vendors.   He had the opportunity to arrange and participate in intimate “meet & greet” events between member executives and VIPs including formers presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, Apollo 13 commander Jim Lovell, and a number of sports and entertainment luminaries.

Phil joined the successful congressional campaign of then-city councilman Michael McMahon in 2008, mobilizing unions, community organizations,advocacy groups and volunteers in support of the candidate.  He continued with Rep. McMahon as a Press Fellow in his Congressional Office, joining a dynamic communications office interacting with the highly competitive New York media market.

Phil received his BA in Mass Communication with a minor in History from attended the State University of New York College at Oneonta in 2004.  He is currently working towards his master’s degree in public communication at American University with an expected graduation date of December, 2010.
