Felicia Powers
Director of Human Resources and Operations
In her role as Director of Human Resources, Felicia is responsible for an executive level effort in enhancing employee benefits and workplace wellness. Felicia also supervises NGLCC's Internship Program as well as administrative support workers.
Prior to serving as Director of Office Administration and Human Resources, Felicia was Manager of Supplier Diversity & Corporate Relations. Felicia interned with the NGLCC for the fall term of 2006.
Before to coming to the NGLCC, Felicia was in retail management at Borders Books and Music for eleven years. During that time, she rose from entry level management to running a seven million-dollar multi-format store as General Manager. In those eleven years, Felicia gained valuable experience in leadership, management, customer service, home office liaison and communications.
Prior to that, Felicia taught Latin to middle-school and high-school students for nine years. During her tenure, she was promoted to the Head of the Classics Department.
Throughout these years, as both teacher and retail manager, Felicia traveled extensively, studying Italian and Greek ruins, and opening Borders stores throughout the US and in Brighton, England.
Felicia holds an MA in Classical Studies from Villanova University and a BA in Political Science and Latin from Dickinson College.
