  Displayed amongst various certificates and family photographs in my office, I have a yellow map of the United States pinned on my wall. As the Director of Affiliate Relations and External Affairs of NGLCC, I know this map is a constant reminder that everything--the entire strength of the movement--is out there. The work of each affiliate chamber in every city around the country contributes to the endeavor for LGBT economic equality, and the NGLCC works to bring all those people, from all those places, together.

Small Business Survey Gives Insights on ENDA

NGLCC has partnered with the Small Business Majority in the release of the "Small Businesses Support Workplace Nondiscrimination Policies" opinion poll. The survey confirms that small business owners understand employees must be able to bring their whole selves to work.  
 

Business Cannot Succeed in a Vacuum

In thousands of conversations with business leaders and entrepreneurs over the years, I’ve learned to recognize qualities that are consistently good predictors for success and also some that give me pause and concern. Statements like, "I’m concerned there are too many businesses in my field," or "Can I really succeed or get ahead with 12 of my competitors also working in my immediate network?" are examples of scarcity thinking—and it can be a dangerous mindset for business owners.
