About NGLCC

The NGLCC represents the interests of an estimated 800,000 to 1.4 million LGBT owned businesses. Through its network of 45 based chambers and business organizations as well as 9 internationally, the NGLCC is the largest LGBT business development and economic advocacy organization in the world.

In addition to many other programs and services designed to help LGBT and allied businesses succeed, the NGLCC is the exclusive national certifying body for LGBT owned and operated businesses. Supplier Diversity Initiative (SDI) is modeled after the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the national certifying bodies for ethnic minority and women-owned businesses, and their missions to create opportunities for minority owned businesses to gain development and procurement opportunities with major corporations.

What we do:

• Facilitate cooperation among state and local LGBT chambers and business groups.
  
  
• Provide the ability to collect and disseminate news and information central to the success of LGBT businesses and professionals on a national level.
  
  
• Partner with the financial services sector to enhance opportunities for members to start or grow their business.
  
  
• Work with corporate partners, other organizations and the community at large to ensure increased opportunity and equality for LGBT professionals.
  
  
• Provide supplier diversity certification to help LGBT businesses gain more procurement opportunities.
  
  
• Stay on the forefront of legislative issues and provide strong lobbying efforts for LGBT business causes and nondiscriminatory affairs.
