Kate Karasmeighan
Chief of Staff and Director of Affiliate Relations
As the Chief of Staff & Director of Affiliate Relations, Kate is responsible for coordinating and leading across NGLCC departments. Kate is a key player in strategizing with NGLCC Leadership on key initiatives and the overall direction of the organization. In addition, Kate facilitates the NGLCC's Council of Chambers and Business Organizations (CCBO). In that role, Kate serves as the point of contact and internal advocate for the NGLCC's 45 state and local LGBT chamber and business organization affilaites. Kate has spearheaded the creation of the NGLCC Women's Business Initiative (WBI). The WBI serves as an additional networking tool for the lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied women's business community and is a catalyst for increased discussion on issues affecting LBT business women. Kate has been with the NGLCC since 2004 and has held various leadership positions. Kate received her Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University in Washington, DC and resides in the city with her wife Elizabeth and dog Sunny.
