Simon McNorton
Senior Fellow
Simon McNorton originally joined the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) as a summer intern in June 2007. Simon is now working with the NGLCC until May 2008 as Senior Fellow. As a Fellow, Simon is involved in all aspects of the NGLCC. He was heavily involved in the events team during the National Dinner and the Out & Healthy LGBT Health Conference. Simon is also the point person for updating the NGLCC website and maintaining the office computer systems.
Simon has lived in the UK for the past 25 years. Simon grew up in York, England, before moving to Manchester and has worked for the past several years in retail. Simon spent the previous year working as a store manager for a major coffee retailer.
Simon holds a BA in Politics and Contemporary History from the University of Salford. While studying, Simon was actively involved with National Union of Students LGBT campaign work, and currently represents the International Student House, DC, as President of their student body. Simon plans to return to the UK in the fall of 2008 to complete an MA in International Politics & Human Rights at the University of Manchester.
