About NGLCC
Council of Chambers and Business Organizations
The Council of Chambers and Business Organizations (CCBO) is comprised of state and local LGBT chambers of commerce and business organizations. The CCBO gives these organizations a voice at the leadership table and a venue for its members to share information, discuss issues such as membership development and retention, offer mutual advice for attaining success and warding off failures, and communicates the needs of local groups to the NGLCC leadership. The network of chambers and business organizations that make up the CCBO work together to disseminate best practices and collaborate effectively on the collective work in advancing the interests of LGBT businesses and entrepreneurs.
The CCBO:
- Is
a mechanism for the exchange of thoughts,
knowledge and ideas to
promote and encourage open dialogue,
coordination and cooperation
between local LGBT chambers of commerce,
business organizations and the
NGLCC.
- Works
together to expand the economic opportunities
and advancements of the
LGBT business community and increase the
visibility of the NGLCC on
Capitol Hill, Wall Street, and down Main
Street, USA.
- Acts
as an advisory body to the NGLCC leadership
and holds sectional
meetings at the annual NGLCC International
Business and Leadership
Conference.
- Facilitates specific dialogue which addresses the goals, challenges, and successes faced by each represented organization, and brainstorm methods of how groups can support one another.
