 As a member of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) business community, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Wells Fargo & Company for supporting our community. This letter is in response to recent events surrounding Focus on the Family’s withdrawal of bank accounts from Wells Fargo.

While it is widely recognized that acknowledgement of LGBT equality is the right moral decision to make, it is also the right business decision to make.  It is a testament to your integrity that you will not allow yourself to be cowed by a fringe political agenda.  Your recognition that LGBT businesses and entrepreneurs have the same financial service needs as other American small businesses underscores your continued growth and success in this market. I am proud that the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce has partnered with such a reputable company.
