On February 9, 2012, the NGLCC hosted the fifth annual Financial Services Diversity Leadership Awards at the New York Stock Exchange, where leaders and diversity advocates in the financial services sector were recognized for their efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in their industry.
The NGLCC convended business advocacy organizations representing other diverse segments for this year's event, including the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the US Business Leadership Network (USBLN), the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC), and the National Black Justice Coalition. For the second year in a row, this was the only cross diversity segment event in the financial services sector. This year's event included a diversity roundtable discussion among corporations and the collaborating organizations in the afternoon, a reception on the trading floor of the NYSE, with the awards dinner following.
