Tyler Brent

Program Manager, NGLCC Global
In his role as Program Manager, Tyler manages the NGLCC Global portfolio and liaises with LGBTI-owned small and medium enterprises, corporate partners, and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining the NGLCC, Tyler worked as a Media Liaison for the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) in Washington, DC.  During his time at TECRO, Tyler was selected to participate in the Mosaic Taiwan fellowship program. While in Taiwan, he was selected by his program to give a bilingual speech to the President of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, where he thanked her for her support of same-sex marriage. 
Tyler graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2015 with a BA in Government and Chinese with Honors and wrote his undergraduate honors thesis on cooperative marriage and LGBT rights in China. For his thesis research, he volunteered for a summer with the Beijing LGBT Center and interviewed Chinese LGBT activists. For his work, Tyler was included in Yale University’s China Hands Magazine as part of their “25 Under 25: Rising Stars in US-China Relations.”
