Supporting Our NGLCC Family Impacted By Northern California Wildfires

| By Justin Nelson

NGLCC family,

Today our thoughts are with our local affiliate chambers, LGBTBEs, corporate partners, and friends whose communities have been ravaged by the ongoing wildfires across northern California. In addition to the 24 reported deaths and countless missing person reports, many in Sonoma, Napa, and Solano counties have lost their homes, businesses, and livelihoods. The communities impacted by the wildfires have faced tremendous loss, and we hope for the continued safety of those still in the area.

Although the NGLCC family’s collective positive thoughts are a wonderful start, we encourage members of our community to contribute in other ways if they are able. Please keep an eye on the website of our affiliate chambers closest to the areas affected by the wildfires, the Golden Gate Business Association and the Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce, for opportunities to assist the LGBT business community in the areas. Both the Napa Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Sonoma County are also accepting donations and offering support and services to rebuild and assist these areas.

These past few months, we have seen the NGLCC community step up time and time again to help members of our community affected by monumental natural disasters. We thank you for your continued support and solidarity as we overcome these challenges together.

Justin Nelson and Chance Mitchell, NGLCC Co-Founders
