Altus Agency is a 20 year-old marketing communications company focused on gay and lesbian consumers. We help companies to understand what they (we) love and what they (we) hate to help form lasting relationships.
Altus officially "came out" 10 years ago with the first-ever gay advertising campaign for a tourism destination - "Philadelphia: Get Your History Straight and Your Nightlife Gay." The campaign enabled Philadelphia rise from 21st to 11th most popular gay city in the United States, and generated over $25 million in public relations value. As well, "Get Your History Straight" became one of only three campaigns to ever win double-platinum awards at the Hospitality Sales and Marketing International Awards. The other two were "I Love New York" and "What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas".
"We are proud of our NGLCC member certification because it connects us with leading corporations and helps us to build connections with diverse suppliers," said David Jefferys, president of Altus Agency. "We are also closely connected with our local LGBT chamber of commerce, the Independence Business Alliance."
