Founded by Kathy Wolfe in 1985, Wolfe is the oldest and largest exclusive distributor of LGBT films. In addition to releasing dozens of LGBT movies on the Wolfe DVD label each year (to such major national retailers as Blockbuster, Best Buy, Amazon and Netflix) Wolfe also distributes these movies to film festivals, campus and community groups, top national broadcasters and VOD (video-on-demand) outlets. Wolfe's relationships in the film and video industry include all the top companies, providing our filmmakers the best distribution services, yielding new revenue sources and creating new audiences for gay and lesbian cinema. To celebrate Wolfe's 25th Anniversary, Wolfe is hosting a "$25,000 Wolfe DVD Giveaway Contest." Every month in 2010, Wolfe awards two contest entrants one Wolfe Gay DVD Library and one Wolfe Lesbian DVD Library, each valued at more than $1,000.
