The NGLCC XLR8 Capacity Development Program helps train, strengthen, and scale certified small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including LGBTQ+ and allied businesses and other interested certified SMEs, for sustainable growth. XLR8 supports businesses at every stage, with cohorts tailored by annual revenue—from startups to multimillion-dollar companies—and designed to help participants compete, grow, and scale in a highly competitive market.
Delivered online in a cohort-based format over six weeks, the program includes one 90–120 minute session each week. Participants engage with academic partners, industry experts, and corporate leaders while developing a practical project intended to drive meaningful, measurable and merit-based outcomes for their business.
Core focus areas include leadership and management innovation, access to capital and financial literacy, mentorship, team development, and marketing, communications, and branding.
The NGLCC Mentorship Program matches Certified Supplier applicants with corporate representatives from NGLCC Corporate Partners and other SMEs to provide expert guidance and insight on focus areas identified by the suppliers. By connecting suppliers with experienced and committed mentors, the NGLCC Mentor Program strives to support the growth and success of Certified Supplier companies.
